Are you still getting a paper paycheck OR paying high fees?

NYC Direct Deposit is the safer, easier, and less expensive way for City employees and vendors to get paid.

The City is partnering with seven financial institutions to offer FREE direct deposit banking accounts with features that benefit you.

ACCOUNT FEATURES:

 FREE checking if your pay is deposited directly
 NO monthly or debit card fees
 NO overdraft option for debit card purchases or ATM withdrawals
 NO minimum balance requirements
 FREE online banking and bill pay
 FREE in-network ATM withdrawals

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO OPEN THE ACCOUNT:

 City of New York Employee ID card (City employees)
 Valid government-issued photo ID such as a passport or ID issued by
      a State Department of Motor Vehicles
 Proof of home address such as utility bill, current lease or deed, 
      current rent or mortgage bill
 Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)

STEP 2: ENROLL IN DIRECT DEPOSIT 
City Employees:
After you open your checking account, enroll in direct deposit online. You can also submit a completed Direct Deposit Enrollment form to your agency’s Payroll staff. You’ll need to provide your routing and account numbers to set up direct deposit.

City Vendors:
After you open your checking account, please contact your payroll administrator for the correct direct deposit form.
