Public notice occurs at three milestones during each NYC BCP project.  These milestones include:

Public Notice announcing the availability of the NYC BCP Application, Remedial Investigation Report, draft Remedial Action Work Plan and a 30-day public comment period

• Public notice in the form of a fact sheet is provided to all parties on the Site Contact List.  The fact sheet specifically announces the availability of a completed NYC BCP Application, a Remedial Investigation Report, a draft Remedial Action Work Plan and the initiation of a 30-day public comment period on the NYC BCP Application and draft Remedial Action Work Plan.  The fact sheet summarizes the findings of the Remedial Investigation Report and the draft Remedial Action Work Plan. 

Public Notice announcing the start of the Remedial Action

• Public notice in the form of a fact sheet is sent to all parties on the Site Contact List announcing the start of cleanup activities at the site.

Public Notice announcing the completion of the Remedial Action and description of any Engineering or Institutional Controls

• Public notice in the form of a fact sheet is sent to all parties on the Site Contact List announcing the completion of cleanup activities and summarizing any Engineering or Institutional Controls that will be in place at the site.
