The Mayor's Office of Environmental Remediation (OER) is designing a local brownfield cleanup program that will closely engage enrollees through a series of meetings designed to create approvable cleanup work plans. While these meetings are critical to achieving prompt cleanup of city properties, OER is working to minimize the environmental and societal 'costs' of this process. To enable these meetings while minimizing traffic-related carbon emissions and associated urban congestion, OER will offer a program to conduct meetings via video- and tele-conferencing. This will enable enrollees to participate in meetings without requiring lengthy travel to and from our offices in downtown Manhattan.
