Ready New York: Flooding
The City Introduces Ready New York: Flooding

As part of Mayor Bloomberg's plan to prepare New York City for flooding, OEM, the Mayor's Office, and the Department of Environmental Protection have launched Ready New York: Flooding. The guide offers residents solutions to reduce risk of flood damage, as well as to prevent financial hardship after enduring a flood.

The guides will be available in eight languages, including English. People can receive hard copies by calling 311 (TTY: 212-504-4115).

Ready New York for Business

Public Safety Officers from the Grand Central Partnership distributed 500 copies of Ready New York for Business to encourage local businesses to prepare for emergencies. The guide, created by OEM and the Department of Small Business Services, coaches business owners and managers through five basic steps to help them prepare for and recover from emergencies.
