OEM ADVISES OF STREET CLOSURES IN LOWER MANHATTAN DUE TO FALLING DEBRIS
Due to the danger of falling debris at Eight Spruce Street, the New York City Office of Emergency Management advises New Yorkers in the following areas to stay indoors:

North boundary: Chambers Street

East boundary: Center and Gold Streets

South Boundary: Ann Street
-
West Boundary: Church Street
The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning until 6 PM. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 MPH with gusts of at least 58 MPH are expected through 6PM. High winds can lead to property damage.
The Department of Buildings (DOB) has issued a Full Stop Work Order at the construction site. Engineers and Inspectors from DOB are continuing to assess conditions in the building. The New York City Police and Fire Departments are also on scene. More information will be made available later in the day.
