OEM REDESIGNS WEBSITE: NYC.GOV/OEM GETS A NEW LOOK

The New York City Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is pleased to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website at www.NYC.gov/oem.

OEM’s new site boasts a number of improvements, including:

  • better integration with the NYC.gov environment
  • clearer navigation and information hierarchy
  • graphic enhancements
  • easier access to Ready New York preparedness information

The agency’s new website will make it even easier for New Yorkers to access information about local emergencies and how they can prepare for them,” said OEM Commissioner Joseph F. Bruno. “We’re always seeking better ways to connect with city residents. I hope the new site’s improved navigability will attract even more visitors to the site and expand our outreach.”

OEM’s website offers an array of information about how the City plans for emergencies and how New Yorkers can better prepare themselves. New Yorkers are encouraged to sign up for OEM’s e-mail alerts at www.NYC.gov/oemnews, which provide updates about local emergencies, preparedness news and events, and information for community-based organizations.
