	FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Release 04-019 December 29, 2004 STATEMENT BY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COMMISSIONER JOSEPH F. BRUNO ON THE PASSING OF JERRY ORBACH "On behalf of the New York City Office of Emergency Management, I want to express my deep sadness at the passing of Jerry Orbach, a true servant of the people of the City of New York. In addition to his noble portrayal of a New York City police officer on the show 'Law and Order,' Jerry Orbach graciously volunteered his time on behalf of OEM's 'Ready New York' campaign. As a result of Jerry's efforts, public service advertisements featuring him were created to help spread the message of emergency preparedness to his fellow New Yorkers.
