Alcoa Grants NYC $200,000
For Ready New York Campaign
Alcoa made a $200,000 grant, paid to the Mayor's Fund to Advance
New York City, on behalf of the Office of Emergency Management's
Ready New York preparedness guide. This grant is part of a $1.7
million initiative by Alcoa to fund First Responder initiatives
in communities around the globe. The grant given to New York City
is the largest grant under their First Responder initiative.

Richard L. Siewert, Jr (center), Alcoa Vice President of Global
Communications and Strategy, presented Mayor Bloomberg (left) and
Commissioner Bruno (right) with the funding which will pay for the
printing of 300,000 Ready New York guides bearing the Alcoa logo
and a citywide advertising campaign on preparedness.
