Partners in Preparedness: Required Actions

Become a Partner in Preparedness by leading your organization through five activities. All partners must complete the following actions:

Required Action I: Stay Connected

Encourage coworkers and volunteers to sign up for Notify NYC, the City's free real-time emergency notification system.
Download a sample email to send to employees.
Download a Notify NYC postcard to distribute.

Required Action II: Get Prepared

Set up and test an emergency contact plan or call tree for your organization.
Download a sample employee call tree diagram.

Required Action III: Send Preparedness Messages

Use e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, or your website to send preparedness messages to your employees.
Download the Ready New York Calendar for 15 sample messages that you can send to your employees throughout the year.

When your organization has completed all three required actions, complete the two of the program's suggested actions. Once all five actions are complete, submit your organization's actions to receive your seal and to be highlighted on our website.
