It is Simple and Free to Become a Partner!
There are four steps to partnership:
  1. Fill out the registration form
  2. Complete five preparedness activities
  3. Submit the completion report
  4. Be an active partner

Step 1: Register
This registration form provides us with information about your organization and a point of contact so that we may provide you with resources and information regarding the next steps in the process.

Step 2: Preparedness Activities
Partners in Preparedness has identified categories that encompass a variety of activities that benefit organizations looking to develop and maintain their continuity plans. Complete five preparedness activities, one in each of the following categories:
  1. Stay Connected
  2. Get Prepared
  3. Keep Your Plan Current
  4. Share Information
  5. Test Your Plan
Specific activities, as well as resources to help your organization complete them can be found on the Preparedness Activity Guide page.

Step 3: Completion Report
Let us know that you have completed the activities so that we may complete your application and send you the Partners in Preparedness seal and certificate of completion.
Fill out the completion report

Step 4: Be an Active Partner
Along with your organization, it is crucial for your employees and volunteers, your primary resource, to be prepared. It is also important for organizations that you rely on, such as vendors and peer and partner organizations, to be prepared. Let them know about the Partners in Preparedness program through social media, word of mouth, or our brochure. You can even use our draft email message to contact others, or provide a copy of the Partners in Preparedness brochure.

Preparedness is not a one-time event, but rather a continual process. Organizations remain partners for one year, starting after they have completed the preparedness activities and have submitted the completion survey. Partners are encouraged to renew their membership each year and try different preparedness activities.
