In January 2005, the Task Force put its charge into action and convened eight Working Groups, consisting of nearly two dozen city agencies to address sustainability issues and help the Task Force establish New York City's official policy on sustainability. Task Force members actively participate in these Working Groups and provide overall guidance as necessary to achieve the goals outlined by the Mayor.
