New York City has many resources available to help victims of domestic violence. The Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence created various fact sheets and resources lists to help those in search of information find help for domestic violence victims.
Anyone, regardless of their immigrant status, is eligible for certain benefits. Please see the list below for more information. In addition to our longer Resource Directory of Domestic Violence Services, we have developed a "quick list" of New York City resources, useful for training packets. Our monthly New York City Domestic Violence Fact Sheet details domestic violence statistics Citywide.
The Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence also developed public education materials which have been translated into as many as 14 different languages. These materials were created with input from domestic violence survivors, police officers, and healthcare providers from a variety of settings.
