|  October 24, 2012 - The construction of the City's fourth Family Justice Center, in Manhattan, was announced at a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Mayor Bloomberg, DA Vance, Speaker Quinn, Deputy Mayor for Legal Affairs Robles-Roman, OCDV Commissioner Jimenez, and members of the community and press.
September 27, 2012 - OCDV hosted "Don't Be a Victim of Financial Fraud," a forum on financial abuse and identity theft as they impact victims of domestic violence. Panelists discussed financial abuse, fraud, coercive debt and identity theft, and offered strategies on how to help victims with these issues. The forum was made possible through a grant from the Allstate Foundation.
June 27, 2012 - A graduation ceremony was held for New York City Family Justice Center Bronx clients who completed 12 weeks of workplace and computer-skills courses under the Supported Training and Employment Preparation Services (NYC STEPS) program, created to help individuals prepare for entry-level jobs in the technology field.

May 4, 2012 - Victims of domestic violence reached milestones on their path to self-sufficiency by completing an an intensive 10-week English conversation program at the Queens Family Justice Center. The course is designed around We Are New York, a television program created to help immigrant New Yorkers practice English while learning about many of the City’s resources, including curriculum about domestic violence.
April 27, 2012 - Announcing the 2-year anniversary of the New York City Family Justice Center in the Bronx. Since opening, the Center has helped over 4,500 victims and 1,200 children find support and safety.

August 17, 2011 - The Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence (OCDV) announced a localized community outreach effort to raise awareness about domestic violence and promote services available to victims – starting with Conely Island, Sheepshead Bay and Brighton Beach in Brooklyn, where domestic violence homicides have occurred this year. OCDV Commissioner Yolanda B. Jimenez was joined by Inspector Kathleen O’Reilly, Commanding Officer of the New York City Police Department, Domestic Violence Unit, and Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs Commissioner Fatima Shama.
August 12, 2011 - Mayor Bloomberg, DoITT Commissioner Carole Post and Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence (Commissioner Yolanda Jimenez launched the New York City Supported Training and Employment Preparation Services (NYC STEPS) program. In collaboration with the technology company NetApp, NYC Steps provides free workplace and computer skills training to help individuals prepare for entry-level jobs in the technology field. The first NYC STEPS will be New York City Family Justice Center clients.
