OCDV, Sanctuary for Families, and Queens Human Trafficking Intervention Court Launch the Queens Human Trafficking Intervention Pro Bono Project
On July 17, 2014, the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence, Sanctuary for Families, and the Queens Human Trafficking Intervention Court announced a new Project that will provide foreign-born defendants in the Queens Human Trafficking Intervention Court who are victims of or individuals at high risk of sex trafficking with pro bono legal representation on immigration law matters as well as connect them to supportive services at OCDV's New York City Family Justice Center, Queens.

OCDV was joined by Judge Judy Harris Kluger, Executive Director, of Sanctuary for Families, Judge Toko Serita, Presiding Judge of the Queens Human Trafficking Intervention Court, New York City Public Advocate Leticia James, Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown, Queens Deputy Borough President Leroy Comrie, New York State Senator Jose Peralta, Councilmember Elizabeth Crowley, Councilmember Laurie Cumbo and Councilmember Vanessa L. Gibson.

OCDV Launches a First-Ever Anti-Stalking Initiative on Staten Island
On June 20, 2014, the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence, in collaboration with the NYPD and Richmond County District Attorney's Office, launched the Coordinated Approach to Preventing Stalking (CAPS) Program, which will increase the identification and reporting of stalking incidents, and enhance stalking arrests and prosecutions.

OCDV and URI Launch a Campaign to Encourage Domestic Violence Survivors With Pets to Seek Help
On May 13, 2014, the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence and Urban Resource Institute launched a bilingual campaign that will canvass the City via retail outlets and grassroots distribution in partnership with Petland Discounts and C-Town and Bravo Supermarkets.

BakerHostetler and Kinetic Partners Deliver Donation to the Manhattan Family Justice Center
On May 12, 2014, donations from the 2014 Clean Slate Initiative were provided to the New York City Family Justice Center, Manhattan, to support adults and children leaving abusive living environments and starting over with the help of the Center.

Fathers Visit NYC Family Justice Center in Manhattan to Observe Denim Day
On April 23, 2014, Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) Commissioner Bill Chong and Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence Commissioner Rosemonde Pierre-Louis welcomed more than two dozen fathers at OCDV's NYC Family Justice Center in Manhattan, where they attended a workshop on the topic of sexual violence and consent.
