ALJ Training Committee Partners with
City Bar Administrative Law Committee
to Develop Presentation on Administrative Tribunals

On February 7, 2006, the ALJ Training Institute co-sponsored a presentation on administrative tribunals at the City Bar Association entitled "Everything You Wanted To Know About Administrative Tribunals and ALJs:   Practice and Career Perspectives." The panel of eight speakers, moderated by the City Bar Administrative Law Committee Chair Elaine Reiss, included Deputy Mayor Carol Robles-Roman, Acting Supreme Court Justice Philip Straniere, Seton Hall Law School Professor Richard Murphy, Tax Appeals Tribunal/Tax Commission President Glenn Newman, Department of Finance Managing ALJ Brian Keeney, DCA Chief ALJ Diana Zalph, and OATH Deputy Chief ALJ Charles McFaul. The 100 attendees were instructed on the creation of administrative tribunals, their jurisdiction, and career opportunities available in the City tribunals.
