Administrative Judicial Institute

The New York City Administrative Judicial Institute (AJI) at OATH, like its state judiciary counterpart the New York State Judicial Institute, is a resource center that provides training, continuing education, research and support services for the various administrative law judges and tribunals throughout New York City.

The goal of the Institute is to improve the overall quality and professionalism of administrative justice in the City by enhancing public access to administrative tribunals, improving the efficiency and responsiveness of such tribunals, and keeping judges current on emerging legal trends, technology, courtroom skills, and
administrative judicial reform.

The Institute develops and presents a wide-ranging curriculum of theoretical and practical interest to administrative law judges throughout the calendar year.  Institute programs are typically open to state and federal administrative law judges as well.
