Within the confines of the 109th Precinct resides an ethnically, culturally and economically diverse population that includes the neighborhoods of Downtown Flushing, East Flushing, Queensboro Hill, College Point, Malba, Whitestone, Beechhurst and Bay Terrace. There are 42 parks, 5 major highways and 2 bridges within the confines of this command. There is a 55 block, multi-ethnic commercial district that serves as an international financial center (with 36 banks) and as a major transportation hub with the Main Street subway station of the #7 IRT Subway line.
