NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR DECEMBER 26th - 27th AND DECEMBER 31st, 2015

The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the New Year’s Eve DECEMBER 26th - 27th and DECEMBER 31st , 2015. Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 26, 2015
 
NO SCHEDULED EVENTS
 
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2015
 
NO SCHEDULED EVENTS
 
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2015
 
NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION
 
Beginning at approximately 3 p.m. through 5 a.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016 , the following streets in the Times Square area will be closed to vehicular traffic:
 
  •  38th Street between 8th & 6th Avenues
  •  41st Street between 8th & 6th Avenues
  •  50th Street between 8th & 6th Avenues
                  •  8th Avenue between West 41st & West 50th Street
                                •  6th Avenue between West 41st Street & West 50th Street  to West 59th Street on the North 6th Avenue on the East 8th Avenue on the West
 
Beginning at approximately 12 a.m. through 5 a.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016 , the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic:
 
                               •  7th Avenue & Broadway between 41st Street and 50th Street
 
 
 
NEW YEAR’S EVE AT CONEY ISLAND
 
Beginning at approximately 8 p.m. through 12:30 a.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016 , the following area will be closed to vehicular traffic: 
 
                                 •  Area bounded by the Boardwalk on the South; Surf Avenue on the North; West 8th Street on the East; West 19th Street on the West
