The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the weekend May 19th & 20th, 2012.

Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:

1. The following events may have a significant impact on the flow of traffic in the areas indicated:

FDR Drive Access to Brooklyn Bridge Closed May 18-21
This weekend, Brooklyn-bound drivers are encouraged to avoid the FDR Drive access to the Brooklyn Bridge due to anticipated congestion. In addition to the regular overnight detours, Ramp "A" (southbound FDR Drive to Brooklyn Bridge) will be closed continuously from 11PM Friday until 6AM Monday morning and Ramp "C" (northbound FDR Drive to Brooklyn Bridge) will be closed for 3 additional hours on Saturday (until 10AM). Please consider taking the Centre Street or Park Row Brooklyn Bridge entrances, the Williamsburg or Manhattan Bridges, the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel (toll facility), or the subway.
