NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR October 21st, 22nd & 23rd, 2011

The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the weekend of October 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 2011. Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:


The following events may have a significant impact on the flow of traffic in the areas indicated:


Friday, October 21st


COMMUNITY BOARD 1 FINANCIAL COMMUNITY FESTIVAL

Manhattan: 1100 x 1800

Broad Street between South & Water Streets closed


Saturday, October 22nd


SPECIAL ADVISORY

OVERNIGHT FULL CLOSURE - FDR DRIVE


MANHATTAN REPUBLICAN CLUB – UNION SQUARE FALL FAIR

Manhattan: 1100 x 1800

6th Avenue between 14th Street and 23rd Street closed


BIKERS FOR BROOKLYN MOTORCYCLE RIDE

Brooklyn: 1200 Start

Formation: 3449 Fort Hamilton Parkway

Route: Fort Hamilton Parkway to 60th St to 8th Ave; 8th Ave to 65th St to 4th Ave to Flatbush Ave; Flatbush Ave to Grand Army Plaza to Prospect Park West to Prospect Park Southwest to Ocean Parkway; Ocean Pkwy to Shore Pkwy to e/b Belt Pkwy to Knapp St; Knapp St to Emmons Ave to finish @ 3000 Emmons Ave @ approximately Nostrand Ave

Rolling closures will minimize the impact of this event on the motoring public
