NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR OCTOBER 1st & 2nd, 2011

The following events may have a significant impact on the flow of traffic in the areas indicated: 

Saturday, October 1st 

HARLEM CHILDREN’S SOCIETY PARADE
Manhattan: 1030 x 1600
Formation: 115th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard
Route: Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard between 110th Street and 129th Street
Dispersal: Included within route
The above streets will be closed for this event

N.Y.P.D. BUILDING MAINTENANCE MOTORCYCLE RIDE
Queens/Manhattan:  1100 Start
Formation & Start: 59 06 Laurel Hill Blvd, Queens
Route: N on Laurel Hill Blvd to 61st Street; W on 61st Street to Queens Blvd; W on Queens Blvd to Thomson Ave; W on Thomson Ave to Upper Level Queensboro Bridge; W on QBB to E 62nd St; E on E 62nd St to n/b FDR Drive; N on FDR Drive into/ becomes Harlem River Drive; N on HRD to exit 24, George Washington Bridge; W on exit ramp to GWB approach; W to GWB

The above streets will be closed for this event

WOUNDED WARRIOR MOTORCYCLE RIDE
Brooklyn/Queens 1200 Start
Approximately 150 motorcycles
Formation & Start: Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn
Route: S on Flatbush Ave to Marine Park Bridge; MPB to Cronston Ave, Rockaway; E on Cronston into/becomes Broad Channel Drive; E on BCD to Veterans Memorial Bridge to n/b Cross Bay Blvd; CBB to w/b Belt Pkwy; W on BP to Knapp St; S on Knapp St to Emmons Ave; W on Emmons Ave to arrival @ 3939 Emmons Ave
