NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR JUNE 25th & 26th

The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the weekend of June 25th and 26th, 2011.  Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:

 

Saturday, June 25th 

 

HAMILTON HEIGHTS WEEKEND WALKS (DOT Weekend Walks)

Manhattan: 1100 x 1800

Hamilton Place between West 144th & West 142nd Streets; West 143rd Street between Amsterdam

Avenue & Hamilton Place closed

 

CHURCH OF ST JOHN THE BAPTIST – 6th AVENUE SUMMER FESTIVAL

Manhattan:    1100 x 1800

6th Avenue between 23rd Street and 33rd Street closed

 

INTERNATIONAL IMMIGRANTS FOUNDATION PARADE

Manhattan:    1200 x 1600

6th Avenue between 43rd Street and 58th Street closed

 

GOUVERNEUR PARENT’S ASSOCIATION PARADE

Manhattan: 1300 x 1430

Route: Madison Avenue between 104th Street and 116th Street; 116th Street between Madison Avenue and Pleasant Avenue; Pleasant Avenue between 116th Street and 120th Street

Dispersal: Included within route

 

BIKERS FOR BABIES MOTORCYCLE RIDE

Brooklyn/Manhattan: Approximately 1100 Start

Approximately 200 motorcycles (more with favorable weather)

Start: Stagg St @ corner of Bogart St (Brooklyn) to Bushwick Ave; N on Bushwick Ave to Grand St; W on Grand St to Union Ave; N on Union Ave to Metropolitan Ave; W on Metropolitan Ave to Roebling St; S on Roebling St to entrance to Williamsburg Bridge; W over Williamsburg Bridge to Delancey St (Manhattan); W on Delancey St to Essex St; N on Essex St to E. Houston St; E on E. Houston St to entrance to s/b FDR Drive; S on FDR Drive through the Battery Park Underpass to n/b West Side Hwy; N on West Side Hwy into/becomes 12th Ave into/becomes Henry Hudson Pkwy; N on Henry Hudson Pkwy to Exit 12, 125th St; E on 125th St to 7th Ave ( Adam Clayton Powel Blvd; S on ACP Blvd to W 122nd St; W 122nd St to Hale House, 152 W 122nd St between ACP Blvd & Malcolm X Blvd (right side of street)

ANNUAL DYKE MARCH

Manhattan:    1700 start

Route: Bryant Park @ 40th Street; March down w side of 5th Ave down to Washington Square North into Washington Square Park

Edward Morgan Place between West 156th & West 157th Streets closed

 

HERITAGE OF PRIDE MARCH

Formation: 40th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue; 41st Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue; 39th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue; 38th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue; 37th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue; 36th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue
