COMMISSIONER KELLY RECOGNIZES NYPD OFFICERS FOR AIR RESCUE OF WEST POINT CADETS


Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly congratulates Police Officer Steven Browning, helicopter pilot in the NYPD's Aviation Unit, for his role in the rescue of two United States Military Academy cadets at West Point who became stranded on a cliff.

Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly on Tuesday, February 22 honored five members of the Department assigned to the Aviation Unit, who on Sunday, February 20, were responsible for rescuing two United States Military Academy cadets at West Point who were stranded on a cliff.

Detective Michael Sileo, Detective Fernando Almeida , Detective Christopher Condon, Detective William Stevens and Police Officer Steven Browning were presented certificates of recognition by Commissioner Kelly at Police Headquarters.
