NOTICE OF PUBLIC FORUM REGARDING STREET CLOSURE IN MANHATTAN

On Tuesday, December 20, 2011, the New York City Police Department will hold a public forum pursuant to the provisions of Local Law No. 24 of 2005, to obtain community comment on the potential adverse impacts of the closure of Thames Street between Trinity Place and Greenwich Street, Manhattan, from 8:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. daily, initiated for security reasons.  This street closure falls within Manhattan Community District 1.

The forum will take place on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Press Room at Police Headquarters, One Police Plaza, New York, New York.  Members of the public will need to present photo identification to gain entrance to the building.

Oral and written comments will be accepted at the forum.  Persons seeking to participate in the forum who request that a sign language interpreter or other form of reasonable accommodation for a disability be provided at the hearing are asked to notify Assistant Commissioner Susan Petito at New York City Police Department, One Police Plaza, Room 1406A, New York, New York 10038, telephone number (646) 610-5336, on or before December 13, 2011.
