NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR OCTOBER 1st & 2nd

The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the weekend of October 1st and 2nd, 2010.  Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:

Saturday, October 2nd

 

CARL SCHURZ PARK-GRACIE SQUARE ART SHOW

Manhattan :          1100 x 1800

East End Avenue between East 84th & East 88th Streets closed

 

KOREA TIMES PARADE

Manhattan :          1100 x 1800

Formation: West 38th Street between 5th Avenue & Broadway

Route: 6th Avenue between West 38th & West 27th Streets

Dispersal: West 27th Street between Broadway & 7th Avenue

The above streets will be closed for this event

 

HARLEM CHILDREN SOCIETY PARADE

Manhattan :          1100 x 1800

Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard between West 115th & West 129th Streets closed

 

CATHEDRAL HIGH SCHOOL NYC OKTOBERFEST

Manhattan :          1100 x 1800

Lexington Avenue between East 57th & East 42nd Streets closed

 

Sunday, October 3rd

 

MS BIKE TOUR

Manhattan :                                              0730 x 1230

Streets intermittently closed for this event, including scheduled MTA closing of s/b Henry Hudson Bridge & s/b Henry Hudson Pkwy between Mosholu Pkwy & H.H.B. from 0700 x 1200. N/b H.H. Pkwy & H.H. Bridge lanes are unaffected. Bike routes and additional closures attached at end of this Advisory                   

 

ASSOCIATION OF INDIANS IN AMERICA DEEPAVALI FESTIVAL

Manhattan :          1100 x 1800

John Street between Front & Water Streets; Water Street between Fletcher & Fulton Streets; Front Street between John Street & Maiden Lane closed

 

BLOOMINGDALE AREA COALITION & ONE STOP SENIOR SERVICES STREET FEST

Manhattan :              1100 x 1800

Broadway (West side only) between West 106th & West 96th Streets; Broadway between West 110th & West 106th Streets closed

 

GENERAL PULASKI MEMORIAL PARADE

Manhattan :              1100 x 1800

Formation: 36th Street between Madison & 6th Avenues

Route: 5th Avenue between 56th & 36th Streets

Dispersal: 53rd Street between 5th & 6th Avenues; 54th Street between 6th & Park Avenues

The above streets will be closed for this event

 

MERCHANTS OF 3rd AVENUE STREET FESTIVAL

Brooklyn:   1100 x 1800

3rd Avenue between 69th & 95th Streets closed

 

QUEENS DOMINICAN PARADE

Queens: 1100 x 1800

Formation: 69th Street between Northern Boulevard & 70th Street

Route: Northern Boulevard between 69th & 89th Streets

Dispersal: northern Boulevard between 89th & 90th Streets

The above streets will be closed for this event
