NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR SEPTEMBER 4th, SEPTEMBER 5th and SEPTEMBER 6th

The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the weekend of September 4th, September 5th , and September 6th 2010. Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:

Saturday, September 4th  

FALUN DAFA PARADE
Manhattan: 1200 x 1400
Formation: Mott Street between Grand & Kenmare Streets
Route: Mott Street between Canal & Worth Streets
Dispersal: Worth Street between Centre & Baxter Streets
The above streets will be closed for this event

WEST INDIAN AMERICAN DAY CARNIVAL CHILDREN'S PARADE
Brooklyn:    0900 x 1600
Formation: St John's Place & Kingston Avenue
Route: St John's Place from Kingston Ave to Franklin Ave; Franklin Ave to President St; President St between Franklin Avenue & Washington Street
End: Brooklyn Museum parking lot

Sunday, September 5th 

BRAZILIAN AMERICAN CULTURAL STREET FESTIVAL
Manhattan: 1100 x 1800
6th Avenue between West 42nd & West 56th Streets closed

GREENWICH VILLAGE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BROADWAY STREET FESTIVAL

Broadway between Waverly Place & East 14th Street closed
