NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR APRIL 24th & 25th

 The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the weekend of April 24th & 25th, 2010. Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:

Saturday, April 24th

CHELSEA VISITING NEIGHBOR'S 8th AVENUE FESTIVAL
Manhattan: 1100 x 1800
8th Avenue between 14th & 23rd Streets closed

SIKH CULTURAL SOCIETY PARADE & FESTIVAL
Manhattan: 1100 x 1800
Location: 38th & 37th Streets between 5th & Park Avenues; 36th Street between 5th & Madison Avenues
Route: Madison Avenue between 36th & 26th Streets
Dispersal: 27th Street between 5th & Park Avenues; 26th Street between 5th & Madison Avenues
Festival: Madison Avenue between 23rd & 26th Streets
The above streets will be closed for this event

Sunday, April 25th

MARCH OF DIMES
Manhattan: 0900 x 1500
Formation: Columbus Avenue between 62nd & 65th Streets
Route: 65th Street from Columbus to Lexington Avenues; Lexington Avenue to 23rd Street; 23rd Street to Madison Avenue
End: Madison Square Park
The above streets will be closed for this event

THIRD AVENUE MERCHANTS SPRING EXPO
Manhattan: 1100 x 1800
Third Avenue between 23rd & 34th Streets closed

VERITAS INC/DUKE ELLINGTON NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOC. 24th PCT COMMUNITY COUNCIL FAIR

East side of Broadway between 96th & 110th Streets closed

BRONX BIATHLON Bronx: 0615 x 1100
