NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR OCTOBER 3RD & 4TH
The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the weekend of October 3rd and 4th, 2009. Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:

“MS BIKE TOUR”

The s/b Henry Hudson Parkway will be closed from the Mosholu Parkway to
the Henry Hudson Bridge on Sunday, October 4th from 0700 – 1300 for
the MS Bike Tour. Due to the HH Pkwy closure access to the Henry Hudson Bridge
s/b will also be unavailable during this period. All lanes n/b on the
Parkway & Bridge will be open to traffic. Motorists should follow posted
detour signs and seek alternate routes during this period.

There are three tours; a 30 mile tour that stays in Manhattan, plus
both 60 and 100 mile tours that proceed into New Jersey via the Lincoln Tunnel
north tube, travel through Hudson & Bergen Counties and then proceed into
Rockland County in NY. The 60 & 100 mile tours re-enter NYC via the south
walkway of the George Washington Bridge and end at Pier 94 via local streets and
avenues in Manhattan.
