NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR JULY 25th & 26th

The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the weekend of July 25th and 26th, 2009.  Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:

Saturday, July 25th

VANDERBILT YMCA STREET FAIR

Manhattan:          1100 x 1800

2nd Avenue between East 42nd & East 57th Streets closed

 

Sunday, July 26th

 

JUAN PABLO DUARTE PARADE

Manhattan:          1100 x 1300

Formation: 171st Street between Amsterdam & St Nicholas Avenues

Route: St Nicholas Avenue from 171st to 181st Streets

Dispersal: St Nicholas Avenue between 181st & 183rd Streets

The above streets will be closed for this event

 

NEW YORK CITY TRIATHLON

Manhattan/Bronx:             0600 x 1200

Swim: Hudson River between 99th & 81st Streets

Bike: North on n/b side of Henry Hudson Parkway (9-A) to Mosholu Parkway;

Turn-around @ Gunhill Road; Proceed s/b on n/b side of Henry Hudson Pkwy to 57th St;

Exit HHP @ 79th Street

Run: West 72nd Street between Riverside Drive & Central Park West; Enter Central Park

Closures: N/b West Side Highway/n/b Henry Hudson Parkway from 57th Street to Gunhill road; 72nd Street from West Side Highway to Central Park
