NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR THE WEEKEND OF APRIL 4 AND 5
The New York Police Department today announced areas in the city that will be impacted by events planned for Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5, 2009. To relieve traffic congestion, the Department urges people who are planning to come to the city this weekend to use public transportation.
Saturday, April 4th
NATIONAL TARTAN DAY PARADE
Manhattan
11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Formation: 44th Street to 45th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues
Route: 6th Avenue from 44th to 58th Streets
WORKS LITTLE LEAGUE INC. PARADE
Queens
10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Formation: 109th Street and 86th Avenue
Route: 109th Street from 86th Avenue to Jamaica Avenue; Jamaica Avenue to Forest Parkway; Forest Parkway to Jamaica Avenue; Jamaica Avenue to Park Lane South
Sunday, April 5th
