NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR SEPT. 27 & 28, 2008

The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the weekend of September 27 and 28, 2008. Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:

Saturday, Sep 27th 

 

INTERFAITH ASSEMBLY STREET FAIR

Manhattan:    1100 x 1800

East Side of Broadway between West 110th & West 116th Streets closed

 

STONEWALL VETERAN’S ASSOCIATION

Manhattan:    1100 x 1800

Greenwich Avenue between 6th & 7th Avenues closed

 

STONE STREET OYSTER FESTIVAL

Manhattan:    1100 x 1800

Stone Street between Pearl Street & Hanover Square closed

 

CONGRESS FOR RACIAL EQUALITY FESTIVAL

Manhattan:    1100 x 1800

Broadway between Waverly Place & 14th Street closed

 

 

ADVANCEMENT OF NIGERIANS PARADE

Manhattan:    1100 x 1500

Formation & Start: 54th Street between 1st & 2nd Avenues

Route: 2nd Avenue from 54th to 43rd Streets

End: 2nd Avenue & 43rd Street

Dispersal: 44th Street between 1st & 2nd Avenues

The above streets will be closed for this event

Route: Exit Park @ 72nd St; 72nd St to West Side Highway; West Side Highway Bike Path to Battery Park

Route: Hamilton Avenue to Brooklyn Battery Tunnel Manhattan bound tubes; exit Tunnel to West Street; North on West Street to Liberty Street; Left on Liberty Street to Battery Park Esplanade; Esplanade to Warren Street; East on Warren Street to West Street; South on West Street to Vesey Street
