METROPOLITAN NY TOWING, AUTO BODY AND SALVAGE ASSOCIATION ‘PARADE OF TOW TRUCKS’ TO ENTER THE GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS

Queens, Brooklyn:    0930 x 1100 (400 tow trucks expected)

Route of Event:  Start @ Shea Stadium “South Field” parking lot, located off Roosevelt Ave nue; Leave lot, make left on Roosevelt Ave; Make right to enter ramp towards Northern Blv ; Take Northern Blvd east to S/B Van Wyck Expwy; Van Wyck to W/B Belt Pkwy; Belt Pkwy to Flatbush Ave South exit towards Rockaway; South on Flatbush Avenue and make left turn at the traffic light by the Marine Parkway Bridge Toll Plaza into Floyd Bennett Field, Gateway National Park Property.

Tow Trucks will proceed to spell out the words “NEW YORK ” so as to be visible from the air.

Representatives from the “Guinness Book of World Records” will verify the number of Tow Trucks in the procession and that a new World Record for the Greatest Number of Tow Trucks in a procession has been made. (Previous World Record is approx. 84 trucks)

Route:  North on 5^th Ave nue, from 61^st to 86^th St reet

Dismissal:  Floats disperse on 87^th & 88^th St from Madison to 5^th Ave.   Marchers disperse North on 5^th Avenue from 90^th to 96^th St.
