NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR THE WEEKEND OF JUNE 28 AND 29

The New York Police Department today announced areas in the city that will be impacted by events planned for Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29. To relieve traffic congestion, the Department urges people who are planning to come to the city this weekend to use public transportation.

SATURDAY, JUNE 28

 

BLOCK PARTY

Manhattan

11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

East 10th Street, between 1st Avenue and Avenue A closed

 

BLEECKER AREA MERCHANTS/RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION

Manhattan

11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bleecker Street, between 6th Avenue and Broadway closed

 

CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY STREET FAIR

Manhattan

11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

West 46TH Street, between 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue closed

 

NEW SONG CHURCH

Manhattan

11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

St Nicholas Avenue, between 120th Street and 121st Street closed

 

ANNUAL DYKE MARCH

Manhattan

4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Formation: West side of 5th Avenue, from 40th Street to 42nd Street

Route: South on the west side of 5th Avenue, utilizing the parking lane of 5th Avenue from 40th Street to 23rd Street. South of 23rd Street. Marchers will utilize the entire roadway of 5th Avenue to Washington Square Park.

Formation:  52nd, 53rd, 54th, & 56th Streets, between 7th Avenue and Madison Avenue

Route:  South on 5th Avenue, from 52nd Street to West 8th Street; West 8th Street to Greenwich Avenue; Greenwich Avenue into Christopher Street and continuing West to Greenwich Street

Dismissal:  Participants will go East or West on Barrow St; Floats will proceed North on Greenwich St to Bank St
