NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES STREET CLOSURES AND EXPECTED TRAFFIC DELAYS FOR WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 27-28

The New York Police Department today announced that areas of Manhattan will be impacted by events planned for Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28, 2007. To relieve traffic congestion, the Department urges people who are planning to come to the city this weekend to use public transportation. All drivers can expect delays.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27

FRIENDS OF COMMUNITY BOARD #2 FESTIVAL

Manhattan

11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Astor Place between Broadway & Lafayette Street closed.

 

THE MANHATTAN REPUBLICAN CLUB FESTIVAL

Manhattan

11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Park Avenue South between 17th & 23rd Streets closed.

 

ENCORE COMMUNITY SERVICES FAIR

Manhattan

11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

52nd Street between 7th & Madison Avenues closed.
