On Tuesday, December 13, 2005, the New York City Police Department will hold
a public forum pursuant to the provisions of Local Law No. 24 of 2005, to obtain
community comment on the potential adverse impacts of street closures initiated
for security reasons in the immediate vicinity of the Con Edison facility, East
14th Street, Manhattan. The area affected is generally bounded by East 15th
Street to the north, Avenue C to the west, East 13th Street to the south, and
the F.D.R. Drive to the east, and falls within Manhattan Community Districts 3
and 6.
The forum will take place on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. to
9:00 p.m. at the Middle School No. 104 Auditorium, 330 East 21st Street, between
1st and 2nd Avenues, Manhattan. Members of the public may enter the facility at
the rear entrance on East 20th Street, and will need to present photo
identification to gain entrance to the building.
Oral and written comments will be accepted at the forum. Persons seeking to
