The New York City Police Department Announces A Public Forum To Be Held In Brooklyn On Thursday, October 6, 2005

On Thursday, October 6, 2005, the New York City Police Department will hold a public forum pursuant to the provisions of Local Law No. 24 of 2005, to obtain community comment on the potential adverse impacts of
street closures initiated for security reasons in the immediate vicinity of MetroTech Center, Brooklyn. The area affected is generally bounded by Johnson Street and Tillary Street to the north, Jay Street and Bridge
Street to the west, Willoughby Street to the south, and Flatbush Avenue Extension to the east, and falls within Brooklyn Community District 2.

The forum will take place on Thursday, October 6, 2005, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the N.Y.C. Fire Department's 1st Floor Auditorium, 9 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn. Members of the public may enter the facility at the front entrance on Flatbush Avenue Extension at Johnson Street/Tech Place, and will need to present photo identification to gain entrance to the building.

Oral and written comments will be accepted at the forum. Persons seeking to participate in the forum who request that a sign language interpreter or other form of reasonable accommodation for a disability
