New York City Police Department Announces Street Closures And Expected Traffic Delays For Weekend Of June 4-5

The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and expected traffic backup. Drivers should anticipate delays in the following areas.

SATURDAY, JUNE 4

SECOND AVENUE STREET FAIR
Manhattan * 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fair Location: Second Avenue closed from East 66th to East 86th

SUNDAY, JUNE 5

SALUTE TO ISRAEL PARADE
Manhattan * 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Parade Formation: 52nd Street to 56th Street between Park Avenue and 7th Avenue
Parade Route: North on 5th Avenue from 57th Street to 79th Street

PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE AND FESTIVAL
Manhattan * 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Parade Formation: Madison Avenue and East 41st Street
Parade Route: South on Madison Avenue to East 27th Street
Festival Location: Madison Avenue between East 23rd Street and East 26th Street

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY BIKERS AGAINST BREAST CANCER
Queens * 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Formation: Northern Boulevard and 39th Street
Route: East on Northern Boulevard to northbound Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to Grand Central Parkway. The route proceeds eastbound on Grand Central Parkway to northbound Whitestone Expressway, and turn southbound on the Cross Island Parkway. Arriving at the Belt Parkway, the ride heads west to the northbound Gowanus Expressway. Follow the Gowanus to the eastbound Long Island Expressway. Riders exit the LIE at Woodhaven Boulevard and travel south to Forest Park.
