Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly To Attend Unveiling Of Plaques Honoring Two Police Officers Who Lost Their Lives At The World Trade Center And The Rededication Of Plaques For Two Officers Who Lost Their Lives In The Line Of Duty

Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly will attend a dedication of plaques for Detective Claude Richards of the Bomb Squad and Officer James P. Leahy of the Sixth Precinct, who died during the attacks on the World Trade Center, at a ceremony on Wednesday, December 10, at 11 a.m. The dedication will take place in front of the Sixth Precinct Station House at 233 West 10th Street.

The ceremony will also rededicate plaques to former Sixth Precinct Police Officers Thomas J. Gargan, who was shot during a robbery on August 17, 1947 and Joseph R. Garcia, who was shot by a robbery suspect in the subway on January 20, 1975.
