To recognize the outstanding efforts of members of
the New York Police Department, New York City Police Commissioner Raymond W.
Kelly will preside over the promotion ceremony of 77 uniformed officers and
72
civilians on Friday, June 27, in the first-floor auditorium of One Police
Plaza. The ceremony will take place at 11a.m.
Commissioner Kelly will recognize the promotion of John Gilmartin to
Assistant Chief in the NYPD's Office of Technology and Systems Development. In
addition, two officers will be promoted to Deputy Chief, three officers to
Inspector, and six to Deputy Inspector.
The ceremony will also recognize the promotion of 11 officers to Detective
Second Grade, 53 to Detective Investigator, and one to Detective Specialist. In
addition, 72 civilians will be promoted to various positions.
