Detective Nemorin was appointed to the Police Department on July 18, 1996. He served in the Housing Bureau's PSA 1, the Brooklyn South Narcotics Division, and the Firearms Investigation Unit. He was born in Haiti, and moved to the United States at the age of 21. He attended the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and served as a Police Cadet until his appointment to the Department. An avid sports fan, he played on the PBA's soccer team. Detective Nemorin was 36 years old. He is survived by his wife, Rose; his children, Stephan, 7, Rodolphe, 5, and Sarah, 20 months; his mother, Jeanine; his father, Aubriant; his sisters, Murielle, Gisele, Jessie, Marie-Jean Etienne, and Karene Benoit; and his brothers, Rodolphe and Petion.

The family has requested that the viewing and funeral services remain private. Representatives of the Office of the DCPI will be present at the service to assist members of the media. A flatbed truck will be set up across the street from the church as a camera location. A press area will also be reserved directly beside the front entrance to the church.
