New York City Police
Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly will join the NYPD Marine Corps Association to
celebrate the U.S. Marine Corps' 227th birthday and the Association's ninth
anniversary on Friday, November 9, at 11 a.m. The ceremony will take place in
the first-floor auditorium at One Police Plaza.
Commissioner Kelly, who
served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, retired as a Colonel from the
Marine Corps Reserves after 30 years of service. The NYPD Marine Corps
Association consists of law enforcement personnel who are former members of the
U.S. Marine Corps.
