New York City Police Department Announces Street Closures For New York City Marathon On Sunday, November 3

The New York City Police Department today announced street closures for the New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 3. Because heavy traffic is expected throuhgout the city all day, mass transit is strongly recommended.

These bridges will be closed at the following times:

Verrazano Bridge
Upper level (both ways) -- 12 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Lower level (west to Staten Island) -- 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Lower level (Brooklyn-bound only) -- 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Pulaski Bridge (both ways) -- 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Queensboro Bridge
Upper level (both ways) -- Open all day to cars and buses, but closed to all trucks.
Lower level (Manhattan-bound) -- 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Lower level (Queens-bound) -- 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Willis Avenue Bridge (both ways) -- 11 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Madison Avenue Bridge (both ways) -- 11 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

In addition to the closures on the Queensboro Bridge, the exit ramp to 60th Street will also be closed.
