New York City Police
Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly will host the Remount Graduation of the
Department's newest class of mounted police officers on Wednesday, October 30,
at 11:30 a.m. The ceremony will take place at Huntington Estates in the Pelham
Bay Park section of the Bronx.
The graduating class of 16 members will be
assigned to Troops A and B in the New York Police Department's Mounted Unit.
After the diplomas are awarded, Commissioner Kelly will deliver remarks.
If rain prevents the outdoor ceremony, the graduation will be moved to
the Police Academy. DCPI will release another media advisory on Wednesday
morning if the event has been moved due to rain.
