The New York City Police Department today announced the press parking areas that will be available during the annual Alfred E. Smith dinner scheduled for Thursday, October 17, at 6 p.m. at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Manhattan. This year's dinner will honor Cardinal Egan and will be attended by Secretary of State Colin Powell, as well as several other dignitaries.

Members of the media will be permitted to park their vehicles beginning at 4:30 p.m. on the east side of Park Avenue north of East 51st Street.
