NYPD's 10,000th Pint of Blood donated

On Wednesday, November 5, 2008, the NYPD collected its 10,000th pint of blood.  This event took place during the 13th Precinct blood drive.  Chief of Personnel, Rafael Pineiro was on hand to congratulate Police Officer Branly Tique of the 13th Precinct on being the Department's 10,000th donor.

The 10,000th pint of blood surpasses last year's total of 9,855 pints collected reiterating the fact that the NYPD is the largest single blood donor i the world.  To learn more about donations or inquire about upcoming blood drives, contact Associate Staff Analyst Nancy Rodriquez (646-610-7260), who is the Departments' liaison with the New York Blood Center.
