Community Affairs Bureau | Immigrant Outreach Unit

The New Immigrant Outreach Unit serves as a link between the NYPD and immigrant communities not traditionally engaged with the police department.  Immigrant Outreach Liaisons make presentations on police department policies, programs, and services affecting immigrant communities. The Community Affairs Bureau, Immigrant Outreach Unit also administers a citywide cricket and soccer leagues for teenagers age 14 to 19. Both the NYPD Twenty20 Cricket Cup and NYPD United soccer league are extensions of the NYPD's Immigrant Outreach Unit whose officers serve multiple ethnic groups including the Arab and South Asian communities.
