Legal Requirements 

Businesses Affected:

Manufacturers and retail stores. Examples of those choosing to participate include: Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, Hewlett-Packard, Konica Minolta, Lexmark, Panasonic, Xerox, and Staples.

How To Participate

1.    Partner with a charity or recycler to provide collection or mail-back services for the collection of empty ink and toner cartridges to your customers at low or no cost.
2.    Supply information about your recycling policies and processes to your customers.

Display a sign indicating that empty ink and toner cartridges are accepted. For information about free images and signs visit business take-back signs.
