The NYC Department of Sanitation recently awarded a citywide contract, similar to a requirements contract, for the removal of electronic and universal waste. This contract is available to all mayoral agencies. Each agency is responsible for registering the contract and payment of services it incurs under the contract. Agencies can use this contract to dispose of electronics, lighting (including PCB ballasts), mercury waste, and sharps.
