BATTERIES — AUTO: RECYCLERS

It is illegal to discard auto batteries; retailers that sell auto batteries are required to accept used batteries for recycling. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is responsible for enforcing this NY State law. If you have problems returning auto batteries or motor oil, call (718) 482-4885, or visit the NYSDEC website.
