Summary: The New York State Wireless Recycling Act, enacted as Chapter 730 of the Laws of 2006
requires all wireless telephone service providers that sell cell phones in the State of New York to accept up to 10 cell phones from any person for reuse or recycling or provide a method for shipping the phones for recycling at no cost, effective January 1, 2007.
